1. Who we are
DEVZOO is a development agency that builds web platforms, custom applications and mobile apps (). For the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), DEVZOO is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website.
2. What this website collects
We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- your name and email address;
- your company name (optional);
- the services you're interested in and your timeline (optional);
- your message;
- the fact that you agreed to this notice, and when.
We don't ask for special personal information, and you shouldn't include any in your message.
3. How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to plan and run your project. We don't sell your information, and we won't use it for unrelated purposes without your consent.
4. Cookies & tracking
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. It keeps two small flags in your browser's session storage — one so the intro animation only plays once, and one so page transitions run smoothly. They never leave your device and clear when you close the tab.
Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.
5. Sharing
Where a service provider handles enquiries on our behalf (for example, our email provider), they process your information for us and only for that purpose.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, after which it is deleted or de-identified — unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to us processing it, or withdraw your consent;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
